Apollo Health Street receives BPO order from New York teaching hospital

Apollo Health Street Ltd. (AHS), on Wednesday announced that it has received a business process outsourcing order worth Rs 30 crore from a large New York-based teaching hospital.
Speaking to newspersons in Mumbai, Mr Divya Sehgal, Vice President, AHS and Business-Head, ITES (IT-enabled services) division said that the multi-year contract will be spread over three years initially but could be extended to five years. The contract would require AHS to bill for charges over $100 million annually.
The company has elaborate plans for expansion in the medical business process outsourcing sector and is believed to be talking to investors abroad. ``Over the next 18 months, we plan to invest about $6-7 million in the business. We are in the process of negotiations with several companies especially in the US for investing in our business,'' said Mr Sehgal. |
