Apollo Health Street to Provide Accounts Receivable Management for
Hazel Hawkins Memorial Hospital
Conshohocken, Penn. – Apollo Health Street, a developer of world-class solutions that
tackle healthcare’s toughest financial and IT challenges, announced today a new
agreement with Hazel Hawkins Memorial Hospital of Hollister, California.
During the one-year partnership, Apollo will work to resolve assigned accounts with
outstanding balances that are more than 90 days past due. This process will include
billing and following up with third party insurance carriers on referred accounts in a
timely manner, as well as challenging underpayments, rejections, and denials on zero
balance accounts.
“We have extensive experience in all major billing platforms,” said Bill Colgan, executive
vice president of hospital services for Apollo. “Our process-driven staff ensures the best
use of our proprietary tools so that follow-up to past due accounts is comprehensive and
effective.”
In addition, Apollo will update the hospital’s operating system with corrected insurance
information so that errors do not perpetuate across the system. The Apollo team will
also support Hazel Hawkins’ management and staff to identify process improvement
initiatives that will optimize account resolution.
“Our main objective is to increase collections so that we can support our mission of
providing excellent care,” said Kristen Templeton, patient accounting director at Hazel
Hawkins Memorial Hospital. “Their inclusive approach to finding resolutions on
outstanding accounts receivable makes Apollo the right choice for our hospital to
improve its bottom line.”
Added Andrew DeVoe, CEO for Apollo Health Street: “Hazel Hawkins’ focus on
improving outstanding accounts receivable balances is a characteristic goal for many
hospitals across the nation. We understand the importance of reducing days in
Accounts Receivable and look forward to an outcome that will support the strong patient
care patients receive at Hazel Hawkins.”
