
Carrier Relations Representative
Sunrise, FL
Establish and maintain a network of contacts in the insurance business, such as HMOs, No Fault, Workman’s Compensation and all commercial lines of business. Provide services to our clients and coordinate problem resolution with our management staff.
Responsibilities:
• Analyze and work inventory reports (i.e. aged accounts and denial reports)
• Liquidate high volume of aged claims
• Manage relationships with carriers through regularly scheduled follow up contact
• Provides weekly activity report and monthly client status report
• Resolves carrier relations problems related to billing, payment, provider file issues or others as identified by management
• Report carriers to the department of insurance
• Other responsibilities or projects as directed by management
Job Requirements:
• 3-5 years billing and insurance follow up experience
• Extensive knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance
• Knowledge of healthcare revenue cycle
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel/ Word
• Extensive knowledge of appeals guidelines and regulations Medicare preferred
• Must be self- motivated, organized, and able to work autonomously
• Ability to organize and prioritize multiple projects, activities, and deadlines
• Must have high level of detail and attention to accuracy
• Must be able to adapt to change
• Must be able to work in production environmen
