Intermediary Coordinator

The Intermediary Specialist is responsible for monitoring the CMS website in order to understand and implement any required changes. It is the responsibility of the Intermediary Specialist to operate in accordance with federal and state regulations as mandated by CMS and HIPAA.
Responsibilities:
• Conduct Medicare and Medicaid provider enrollments and processing
• Work closely with Compliance Officer
• Receive and review emails daily from CMS and intermediaries and interpret updates, laws and changes as related to our business lines for implementation
• Develop changes and implementation plans based on CMS and local Medicare and Medicaid intermediaries and HIPAA requirements
• Log on to CMS and intermediary websites daily for changes, updates and seminar information. Implement necessary changes and set up seminars
Job Requirements:
• Able to work independently
• Good communication and organization skills
• Working knowledge of PC
• Orientation to detail and accuracy
• Governmental payer experience in a health care setting
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
Required knowledge and work experience:
• Medicare Part A and B
• Medicaid
• Familiar with intermediaries/clearing house like: Emdeon, NGS, Empire,CSC
• States: New York, Florida, California preferred. All states experience to be considered.
