Customer Service Representative

Sunrise, FL

Candidates must be bi-lingual with the ability to proficiently speak and understand English and Spanish.

Responsibilities:
• Responsible for collections on patient balances
• Answer inbound calls from patients, guarantors and Insurance carriers regarding patient accounts
• Processes patient calls with an average direct call processing time of three minutes and an average post call processing time of one minute to document accounts.
• Makes outbound calls via dialer system to patients and guarantors
• Billing and Collections of Medicare, Medicaid and commercial insurances
• Handle patient disputes
• Offer discounts to patients within clients guidelines
• Set-up payment arrangements in system
• Perform Skip Tracing on patient accounts
• Utilize dialer tools to track telephone disconnects, no answers and system problems
• Understand payer rules and regulations
• Communicate issues and offer suggestions to management for process improvements
• Understand and apply federal and state rules and regulations
• Perform all tasks in accordance with the EMS Best Practice Model
• Document account activity in the patient accounting system
